For breakfast today I made a very nice and nutritious green smoothie.

Ingredients:

6 ripe bananas

4 Medjool dates

Handful of Spinach

Handful of sprouted Alfa Alfa

1 cup of water

Preparation:

Put all ingredients into your Vitamix.  Select Variable 1. Turn the machine on and slowly increase the speed to 10, then to High.
Use tamper to press the ingredients into the blades if required.
Blend for 1-2 minutes or until smoothie reaches desired consistency.

Serve and enjoy!

Today I was experimenting a little bit and here is a new recipe – Raw Mini Tacos  :-)

For the recipe you will need:

Carrots

Red pepper

Raw Almonds (soaked overnight)

Raw Sunflower seeds (soaked overnight)

1 red onion

2 cloves of garlic

Himalayan Crystal Salt

Spinach

 

Preparation:

Put carrots, red pepper, almonds, sunflower seeds, red onion, garlic and little bit of Himalayan Crystal Salt into your food processor. Turn on and process for few minutes, till you get a smooth consistency. Stop from time to time to scrape the mixture from the sides to the middle.

Put a spinach leaf onto the plate.

Today I want to share with you another raw green smoothie recipe. Delicious, nutritious and  easy to make.

Kale

Handfull of spinach

4 Medjool dates

4 bananas

1 teaspoon of Bee Pollen

water

 

Preparation:

Today I got a new kitchen tool – Spiralizer. Its a very nice little machine to instantly get beautiful spaghetti, spirals or ribbons. It can make spiral shapes and spaghetti from all firm fleshed fruit and vegetables. So my today’s creation is delicious spaghetti salad.

For this salad you need:

1 zucchini

1 cucumber

Sprouted Alfa Alfa

Sprouted Aduki beans

2 tomatoes

Scallions

Preparation:

Spiralize zucchini, cucumber and tomatoes.Add them to your favorite salad dish. Chop finely scallions , add sprouted Alfa Alfa and sprouted Aduki beans. Season with salt and pepper (optional).

I used a dressing made of Olive oil blended with Basil.

For my sons I decorated it with sunflower shoots. Enjoy

Today I prepared literally the best raw vegan yogurt ever! Try it, but be careful, not to swallow your tongue :-)

Its a nice baby breakfast idea too. I do it for Lilly once or twice per week. She loves it.

For the Raw Vegan Yogurt you need:

1 cup cashew nuts (soaked overnight)

2-3 bananas

3 drops Organic Vanilla extract

water

Preparation:

Put cashew nuts into your Vitamix. Pour water until the nuts a slightly covered. Add 3 drops of Vanilla extract and bananas.

Select Variable 1. Turn the machine on and slowly increase the speed to 10, then to High.
Blend for 1-2 minutes or until yogurt reaches very smooth consistency.

Serve and enjoy! I decorated it with blueberries. They gave extra nice taste.

Today I want to share with you a Wheatgrass smoothie recipe. When you put wheatgrass into a smoothie, you do not taste wheatgrass at all and in addition you get the fiber.

4 apples or 4 pears

1 handful of wheatgrass

1 handful of spinach

4 Medjool dates (stoned)

4 bananas

water

Use tamper to press the ingredients into the blades if required.
Blend for 1-2 minutes or until smoothie reaches desired consistency.

Today I want to share with you a really delicious recipe – Raw Vegan Sushi. It looks wonderful and is very tasty.

For this recipe you need:

Organic Sushi Nori

Daikon radish

Sunflower seeds

Avocado

Red and yeallow peppers

Scallions

Bragg Liquid Aminos

Preparation:

Cut avocado and peppers into thin slices like this.

Chopped avocado, pepper and scallions

 

Put daikon radish and sunflower seeds into your food processor and process till fine.

Take out one Sushi sheet and place it on an even surface (plate). Put the radish paste evenly on the sheet.

Start rolling. Every time you roll put a red pepper, avocado or scallion inside the roll.

Now take a sharp knife and cut the rolled Nori sheet into about 1-2 cm pieces. Serve with Bragg Liquid Aminos or with a sauce of your choice. Enjoy

Raw food recipe-raw beetroot hummus

Hello , my beautiful friends this evening I would like to share a recipe for a raw beetroot hummus-its an amazing combination and it looks so bright on a nice summer day.

Hummus makes an ideal dip and its plain form tastes amazing with nearly everything including toast. Its healthy and delicious.

Here is what you need.

  • 1/2 pound dried chickpeas

  • 1/2 cup bean cooking liquid or water
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic

 

 

  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1/4 teaspoon+ ground cumin

  • 1/4 cup tahini, stir it well before measuring it out!

  • 1/3 cup lemon juice (normally 1 1/2 lemons – use fresh!)

  • 1/2-1 teaspoon salt

 

This hummus is also excellent with different spices – chili powder, coriander, a bit of cayenne, some mint – all delicious! Try out different things to see what you like.

 

Also keep in mind that the tahini really adds to the texture and flavor. If you don’t like tahini or don’t have any on hand, add more olive oil and cooking liquid, and a bit more salt.

Once you have made the hummus its very simple to add beetroot to it. Simply peel one small raw beetroot season to taste and blend in the Vitamix if you have one, if not an ordinary blender will do the job. After you have done that add 50 grams of cooked chickpeas and some of the hummus , that you made. Create your preferred texture and enjoy.

Here is an idea to serve it with rye and hemp bread. Its great with green salad and a few olives.


To make an avocado and spring green version of this hummus you would need 1 ripe avocado and the juice from a few leaves of spring greens , you can also use spinach , but the darker the green the better.You can also blend the spring green leaves in the Vitamix or in an ordinary blender and then sieve the liquid for a smooth finish.

Similar to the beetroot hummus. Add the avocado , juice from a ½ lemon and and the spring green in the blender with about 100 gr of cooked chickpeas , season to taste and blend. Then add the remaining of the plain hummus . Serve and enjoy!
